Accessibility

General

To enable maximum availability we’ve followed accessibility guidelines ensuring that the SIDS New Zealand website can be accessed by as many people as possible.

Technical

This website uses valid XHTML and CSS; endeavours are currently being made to be compliant with WAI Priority 1 & 2, and valid within the US Section 508 guidelines. Javascript is only used for presentational purposes, and if not enabled will it in no way decrease accessibility of the website.

Access keys

This SIDS NZ website supports access keys, which allows users to navigate just using the keyboard. Windows users should hold ALT, as shown, and the relevant access key (Firefox users may require the addition SHIFT key as well), whilst Mac users should instead hold CTRL and the relevant access key.
